How To Play Spoons The Drinking Game With Rules:
Spoons is an easy to learn, fast paced game that involves speed, skill, luck and spite are required while learning how to play spoons the drinking game with rules. To play you’ll need at least 4 friends and no more then 12 friends with everyone having a big mug of their favorite beverage, preferably beer.
Drinking Game Spoons Equipment:
One Spoon For Everybody But One (We Suggest Kitchen Spoons or These >> Spoons)
To start off playing spoons the drinking game you need to pull out sets of cards equaling the amount of people that are playing. For example if you had 7 people playing you would need to pull out 4 of every card ace to 7. So you would have 28 cards total. You also need to pull out enough spoons (one less spoon than people playing) So if you had 7 people playing you would only need 6 spoons. Place the spoons in the middle of the table.
Shuffle the cards and deal everybody 4 cards each. The object of the game is to get 4 of a kind. After everyone has been dealt cards and looked at them the dealer will quickly say “PASS!” Everyone must then take one card out of their hand and pass it to the player on their right. The dealer should keep saying pass pretty quickly to keep the game at a fast pace which makes it a lot of fun.
Once somebody get 4 of a kind in their hand they quickly lay down their cards and grab a spoon. Everyone else must rush to grab a spoon with one player not getting the spoon. That player is eliminated and must take a preset amount of drinks. The next round starts with one less spoon on the table, this continues on until there are only two people left. The guy who gets the last spoon wins!
Spoons The Drinking Game Gameplay Variations:
Now That you got the rules down here’s a few fun ways to play!
More Drinks- Instead of making the player who gets eliminated in the round a pre-set amount of drinks, you can make him drink the card value for the player who got 4 of a kind. (ex.4 nines) The player who didn’t get a spoon would have to take 9 drinks.
Play Sneaky- When you have the 4 of a kind instead of quickly grabbing your spoon, try to sneakily grab it by slowly grabbing it. This is a good way to do it especially if somebody isn’t paying 100% attention.
Fake Grab- If you don’t have the 4 of a kind pull a fast one and fake grab a spoon. If anybody reacts and grabs a spoon they have to take 3 drinks each. If nobody grabs a spoon the person who faked has to take 3 drinks!

Yeti Roadie & Tundra Cooler T-Rex Lid Latches Accessory
Click for more pictures (Amazon link)
Yeti Cooler Lid Latches got their design inspiration from an ATV cargo box. If you’ve seen one first hand, you’ll understand how they are very similar. If these style of latches can withstand the beating an ATV dishes out, we’re sure they’ll last years on your Yeti Tundra cooler. The common cause of replacement doesn’t appear to be from failure or the old lid latches going bad but rather oxidation from being in direct sunlight for 5 plus years and leave your hands black when you touch them. If you’re worried about this happening. Don’t fret, replacement is a breeze with most people stating that it “took literally 30 seconds or less to replace”.
“Does install instructions come with these replacement lid latches for my Tundra cooler?”
No, install instructions come with the latches. Watching the video below will show you have to replace them though.
Yeti Tundra Cooler Handles Accessory

Yeti Tundra Cooler Handles come in three different sizes small, medium, and large. Small Fits Tundra Cooler sizes 35 & 45. Medium Fits Tundra Cooler sizes 50, 65, 75, 105, 110, 125, 160. Large Fits Tundra Cooler sizes 210, 250, 350. Actually, breaking the handles on your Yeti Tundra Cooler is quite a feat because they’re made from marine-grade polyester rope and unless you snag the handle on your open pocket knife blade, we don’t see how they’d ever fail.
It’s never fun having to try and carry an extremely heavy cooler in the midst of a good time and some of these Yeti Tundra Coolers are downright heavy when they’re empty, let alone full of ice and cold ones. Once you go above the Yeti Tundra 50 size and fill it with ice and drinks, you’re most likely going to need help carrying it. The rubber feet on the bottom of they cooler making pushing or dragging it difficult, so these wheels are a godsend.
We didn’t find any Yeti manufactured wheel accessories for their Tundra coolers but we did find some slick ones on Amazon from Badger wheels. Do yourself a favor, buy the two axle kit or else you’re Yeti will sit very unlevel when stationary, unless you plan on carrying an allen key around to remove and fasten the wheels every time you move it. Trust us you’ll thank yourself every time your having a good time and you look at your Yeti thinking I have to move that beast again.
We’ve all been there and if you haven’t consider yourself lucky when your husband or wife wants to kill you for losing the damn cooler drain plug and letting all that cold-holding power go down the drain. Don’t worry though we’ve heard these Yeti drain plugs have a perfect, tight fit, and no leaks, no fuss making them an exact replacement for the originals. Installation is a breeze. You literally just have to screw them in if you lost it or unscrew the old ones and throw them IN THE TRASH if they’ve become worn out from using your Yeti everyday for 4 years, then screw the new one into the side.
Do these replacement vortex drain plugs fit my Sherpa cooler?
No, these replacement drain plugs only fit the Tundra & Roadie series coolers. They will not fit the older Sherpa models.
How many drain plugs are included if you order on Amazon?
Last time we checked two drain plugs per package. Giving you an extra should you lose it again.

Yeti Tundra Cooler 1lb, 2lb, or 4lb Ice Packs Accessory
Click for more pictures (Amazon link)
From experience and through reading the reviews online the Yeti Ice Packs is the most heavily contested accessory for the Tundra Coolers. The custom shape of the Yeti ice packs with the increased surface area reduces the required freezing time. That’s true, and due to this same custom shape we’ve found it will not stay frozen as long as the generic ice blocks. We believe these ice packs were not designed to remain completely frozen for hours, but rather designed to maximize the cooling temperature effects on your food and beverages without causing “slushy” drinks. Nobody enjoy’s worrying about the possible effects of drinking partially frozen beer in the middle of a good time!
Whether or not this is a deal breaker for yourself depends on your intended purpose. If you want something that stays frozen longer and might make your contents slushy go with the generic ice block. If you want a product that will maximize the cooling affects on your cooler contents and avoid making them slushy, then pick up the Yeti Ice Pack they’ll serve a welcome addition to your ice stash to make sure your contents stay colder, not slushy for longer.
Yeti Cooler Ice Pack Dimensions:
1lb Yeti Ice Pack Dimensions – 8″ x 2 5/8″ x 1 5/8″
2lb Yeti Ice Pack Dimensions – 8″ x 5 3/8″ x 1 5/8″
4lb Yeti Ice Pack Dimensions – 10 3/4″ x 8″ x 1 5/8″
Yeti Tundra & Roadie Cooler Tie Down Kit Accessory
Click for more pictures (Amazon link)
If you find the thought of your coolers sliding around the boat on a wavy day or bouncing out of your Polaris RZR on rough trails annoying, we highly recommend you consider installing the Yeti Tie-Down Kit. The 4.5 feet long straps securely fasten your cooler to your boat deck or RZR and still easily open to grab your cold ones. This installation is so secure that cooler will not budge through rough chop or when you use it as a stable platform to spot cast for reds.
Yeti Tundra Cooler Dividers really make organizing your Yeti easy. Each divider fits directly inside the molded in divider groove in the Tundra series, allowing your cold ones to stay tightly packed on one side. This will be a relief when they don’t explode all over you when you first crack them open. No bouncing beers, but plenty of space for your grub. These dividers also make great cutting boards to fillet your catch when not in use. The short divider is the vertical divider and the long divider is the horizontal divider.
One thing that should be noted is the divider once installed does not keep melted ice water from going from one side of the cooler to the other. These are meant to separate solids, not act as a water-proof barrier.
It’s a great feeling being able to leave your Yeti Tundra cooler somewhere vulnerable and not have to worry about it being taken by bandits or high school kids who can’t buy their own beer.
The Yeti Security Cable & Locking Bracket is made from high-strength carbon steel with the lock bracket designed to fit into your Yeti Cooler anchor point. The 6 ft. long cable is strong with a fully adjustable lock, holds tight at any position and easily threads through anchor points making sure it’ll be able to do it’s job. It’ll require a hacksaw or bolt cutters to fail, if that’s the case there isn’t many security devices that’ll withstand that. This locking device is compatible with the majority of cables or chain and lock of your choosing at your local hardware supply store.
Note: When only purchasing the YETI Locking Bracket it does not come with a security chain or lock.
The Yeti Tundra Cooler Bear Proof Locks are a necessity if you want your Yeti Tundra or Roadie to meet the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee (IGBC) standards for bear-resistant containers as one of the requirements is to be secured with extra-long shank Master locks. Check out the video below and you’ll see these coolers have been thoroughly tested to proof there bear-resistant worthy claim.
If you are caught up in a haze of Yeti fever buying accessories to deck out your Yeti cooler, you won’t regret buying the Yeti Tundra Cooler Beverage Holder at all. This thing is holy crap heavy and sturdy in a good way that’ll be sure to impress the toughest critics as it serves as a convenient caddy for your frosty beverage. It’s built from heavy duty powder coated stainless steel that is so strong that we’ve heard when hanging off the side of your atv it’s capable of clipping a juniper tree and breaking the limb… literally, a piece of metal that hangs off the side of your yeti just knocking down trees (or small limbs). These beauties are built to last and doesn’t get in the way of opening your cooler to grab another cold one.
Just like everything other Yeti accessory this product is durable and fits snugly on your Yeti cooler Each cooler provides two extra places to hold a rod one on each side. It’s usefulness is proved when when your retying a leader or help bag that big marlin your buddy has on the line. The one warning we’d provide is to periodically check the screws holding it together that you’ll see in the video below. Over time they’ve been known to vibrate out of the plastic inserts, making it a great way to loose an expensive rod and reel. We recommend replacing the short screws with longer screws that go all the way through and end with washers and lock nuts on the back. Other then that, this is one great product.
If you find the thought of your coolers sliding around the boat on a wavy day or bouncing out of your Polaris RZR on rough trails annoying, we highly recommend you consider installing the Yeti Tundra Cooler Corner Chok Set. These heavy duty rubber corner chocks are made to last for years on all Yeti Cooler.
With marine grade bungees and stainless steel hardware they’ll securely fasten your cooler to your boat deck or RZR. The installation is so secure that the cooler will not budge through the roughest of chop or when you use it as a stable platform to spot cast for reds. The installation process and recommendations are shown in the video below.
We can assure you that the feet your Yeti Tundra or Roadie cooler comes with from the factory aren’t going to slide because they are made to stay put for a reason. However, if you’re planning to slide your Yeti cooler in an out of the back of your pickup truck you’re going to want to install the sliding feet accessory. We recommend that you only replace two of the four feet with sliding feet on your Yeti Cooler. That way you’ll be able to tip the cooler up and slide out and slide back. The other two feet are the original rubber feet which will help keep the cooler from sliding around your boat deck or truck bed.
We can’t think of anything worse than when you are out in the wilderness hungry from your long hunting or fishing trip and to your dismay find soggy sandwiches or wet lunch supplies in your cooler. The Yeti Tundra Cooler Baskets prevents this tragedy from occurring and thankfully come with every Yeti Tundra Cooler purchase. If you’re looking to pick up another one or replace your previous sturdy high quality basket you can check them out on Amazon.

Yeti Coolers Facts & Frequently Asked Questions
“Where are Yeti Coolers made, are they made in the USA?”
Here is what Yeti has to say on their website FAQ page: “Our Tundra coolers are manufactured in the USA at facilities located in Iowa and Wisconsin as well as at a facility located in the Philippines. Our Hopper coolers and Rambler drinkware are manufactured in China.”
“Why are Yeti Coolers so expensive, are they worth the money?
Yeti Coolers are so expensive because they are built as rugged as a tank (some people call them a portable bomb shelter). When they launched in 2006 Yeti basically created the high-end roto-moulded cooler market. Before then, there were few coolers that could keep ice for 5-7 days, which makes it no surprise that their average customer rating on their products is 4.6/5 stars. Which in our opinion if you’re looking for a cooler to use for the rest of your life you probably won’t regret going with a cooler that has a customer satisfaction 4.6/5 stars. We believe that they are more than worth the money.
“How long does ice last in a Yeti Cooler?”
Here is what Yeti has to say on their website FAQ page:
There are many variables that will affect ice retention, so this is a difficult question for us to answer. Variables that can affect ice retention include the ice quality, ice quantity, type of ice (crushed, block, cube, dry), outside environment, exposure to direct sunlight, etc. Which is to say there’s a lot you can do to affect the longevity of your ice.
Over the years, we’ve received many different reports from YETI users in the field regarding ice retention. Some customers have reported having ice after their two-week trip on the river while others have said that their “crappy brand X cooler will hold ice better.”
Because of the large number of variables, as well as the lack of an industry standard for measuring ice retention, claims that place a definite time (5, 10, 14 days) are often based on testing conditions and not real-life situations.
In the end, the Tundra offers up to 3 inches of polyurethane foam insulation, combined with a freezer-style sealing gasket. Beyond that, everything else is out of our control. But if you can minimize the negative variables that affect ice retention, YETI coolers can’t be beat. And we’ve compiled a comprehensive list of tips and tricks to maximize ice retention.
Here is some tips to help increase the amount of time ice lasts in your YETI cooler
“How much does a Yeti Cooler cost?”
The price of a Yeti Tundra or Hopper Cooler fluctuates greatly depending on the size of cooler you buy. The price typically ranges from $249.99 all the way up to $1299.99.
“Where is the cheapest or best place to buy a Yeti Cooler”
We believe the cheapest and best place to buy your Yeti Cooler is on Amazon because the price and efficiency cannot be beat.
“What is the biggest & best Yeti cooler size?”
The Yeti Tundra 350 Cooler is the largest premium cooler in the Yeti lineup. The Yeti website states it has a staggering 19,000 cubic inches of capacity and enough interior space to hold 82.4 gallons. That’s a lot of cold ones, 222 cans to be exact with a 2 to 1 beer to ice ratio. They state the only limit is your limit because space is never an issue, and we’d have to agree. The best Yeti cooler size depends entirely on your planned application for your Yeti. The information above will help ensure you get the right cooler the first time for your particular needs.
“How do you clean a Yeti Cooler?”
Here is what Yeti has to say on their website FAQ page for Hard-Sided Yeti Tundra Cooler:
For general cleaning, we recommend using soap and warm water.
For a more thorough cleansing and problems with strong odors, use a solution of warm water and bleach (6:1 ratio) with a sponge or mildly abrasive rag. Odors can easily get trapped in hard to reach areas such as around the gasket and drain plug, so be sure to thoroughly scrub those areas.
For tough stains and very foul odors we would recommend cleaning your YETI with a high pressure soap spray found at a local do-it yourself car wash.
Here is what Yeti has to say on their website FAQ page for Soft Yeti Hopper Cooler:
A mixture of dish soap and water should do the trick. Rinse with fresh water and then thoroughly wipe the inside dry with a cloth or paper towel. Leave the HydroLok™ Zipper open for several days to ensure all moisture has dried. Taking care of your HydroLok Zipper is also extremely important. Each Hopper comes with a small tube of lubricant. Make sure you apply this lubricant following cleaning, before storage, and anytime the zipper feels stiff. Make sure your zipper is always free of dirt, grim, or other debris for maximum performance and life.
Always store your Hopper in the fully closed position, making sure the inside is completely dry.
WARNING: Do not machine wash. Do not dry in an oven or clothes dryer.
“Do Yeti Coolers float?”
Yes, Yeti Tundra Coolers float. They’re built from virtually indestructible rotomolded polyethylene, it’ll survive without scratches when you capsize your canoe on some rapids and float itself to shore after bouncing off multiple rocks on its way down the river.
“Why are Yeti Coolers the best or is Yeti the best cooler?”
There is no doubt that Yeti Coolers are a premium cooler. Are they the best cooler? That depends on your intended use! We find this heavily contested debate similar to arguing what’s better Coke or Pepsi. In the end it usually boils down to what you prefer. We’ll spend our time pursuing more worthy ventures like making sure you have a great time and purchase the right Yeti cooler for your needs the first time.
“What are Yeti Coolers made of, how are they made?”
Yeti Coolers are made of polyethylene and made using the rotomold process. From the Yeti website FAQ page:
The rotational molding (also known as rotomold) process is a high-temperature, low-pressure plastic forming process that uses heat and biaxial rotation (i.e., rotation on two axes) to produce hollow, one-piece parts. The YETI cooler mold is loaded with polyethylene in powder form. The mold is then placed in a large oven while it rotates on two axes at different speeds, which helps prevent powder from accumulating in one spot. The polyethylene melts and adheres evenly to the wall of the mold. Once the polyethylene is melted, the molds are pulled out of the oven to cool. And once cool, the ice chest is then removed from the mold. It’s kind of like a huge, spinning Easy-Bake Oven that cranks out coolers instead of cakes.
The process has inherent design strengths, such as consistent wall thickness and strong outside corners that are virtually stress-free. The rotational molding process gives the coolers one-piece construction and unmatched durability.
“Who is Yeti Coolers competitors?”
Yeti Coolers competitors include Pelican Coolers, Engel Coolers, Orca Coolers, (Most Similar To Yeti) Canyon Coolers, Siberian Coolers, K2 Coolers, Grizzly Coolers, Igloo Coolers, Icehole Coolers, Brute Coolers, and Yukon Coolers.
“Are Yeti Coolers Grizzly or Bear Resistant?”
Yes, Yeti hard-sided coolers are considered bear resistant. From the Yeti website FAQ page:
Our hard-sided coolers were tested by the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee (IGBC), a U.S. Forest Service Department of Agriculture Committee that works in both controlled and wild settings with grizzly bears.
The IGBC publishes minimum design and structural standards, inspection and testing methodology for bear-resistant containers. YETI Tundra met the IGBC requirement both in the engineered test and the live bear test. The IGBC officially approved the YETI Tundra and Roadie for use on public lands and national parks occupied by grizzlies.

If you’re on the market for a brand new cooler, you’re in luck!
Let’s Take a Look at the Basics
Have you ever lugged around beverages or packed lunches in a backpack, bag, or purse only to have them leak all over? Or maybe you end up having to eat a warm deli sandwich. And – shudder – warm drinks. We think the worst outcome is warm beer. Beer is too good for that.
Because food and drinks are some of the greatest pleasures in life, you’ve got to make sure you’re buying something that will suit your desires. We’re pretty confident that you want to get the most bang for your buck – there’s nothing more disappointing in the shopping department than buying something you’re unhappy with and end up never using.
And so, without further ado, let’s talk about the best coolers for keeping ice.
The Best Coolers Available
#1 Best Coolers For Keeping Ice: ORCA 58 Cooler
Click for more colors (Amazon Link)
You can hardly go wrong with the ORCA 58 Quart. In fact, according to the Outdoor Gear Lab, it’s the best cooler for keeping ice on the market today. Sure, it’s a little bit tricky to drain completely and the lid has a habit of closing on its own, but we don’t mind its quirks because it’s just so dependable, durable, and handy. It’s easy to pack and transport, doesn’t take much effort to carry by hand to your destination, and it can hold a lot – up to fifty four quarts. (Contrary to its listed capacity of fifty eight quarts.)
The ORCA’s biggest brag-worthy feature is its incredible insulation. It can keep ice from melting for seven whole days, so the next time you’re planning to spend a serene vacation as far away from civilization as possible, the ORCA has you covered. You’re not going to have to worry about going in to town to buy ice!
With its firm, compact lid, high quality latches, and pin style hinges, the ORCA can stand the wear and tear that is inevitable with travel and outdoor activities. That’s an emphatically positive check mark in the durability category. It’s also got both extended and recessed handles, as well as a mesh pocket on the outside any extras.
Nylon webbing connections and a flexible-but-strong rubber handle make it really easy to carry this thing around, even if you’re flying solo.
The ORCA is listed around $400, but you can pay much less on Amazon.
#2 Best Coolers For Keeping Ice: Yeti Tundra 65 Cooler
Chances are you’ve heard of the Yeti, and for good reason. According to Best Cooler Reviews, a website run by two friends who are determined to find the most state-of-the-art coolers out there, the Yeti Tundra received a rating of 100% from most of its users, even being referred to as a “portable refrigerator.”
Click for more colors (Amazon link)
When the Outdoor Gear Lab tested the Yeti Tundra for insulation, it found that it kept up with the ORCA in terms of ice retention, matching the seven day cap. However, its food stayed below the recommended temperature for safety almost a full day less than the ORCA. Some reviews indicated that pre-cooling the cooler by filling it will cold water bottles, prior to packing it, will increase the amount of time that food will stay cold.
Like the ORCA, the Yeti Tundra is extremely tough and will last for a number of years – you won’t have to worry about being gentle with it. Users do tend to have problems with the lid seal – it’s not uncommon for a fair amount of water to flow out of the cooler when in transit.
While it’s tough and consistently performs its function well, the Yeti Tundra isn’t all that user-friendly. Handles are made of solid plastic tubes featuring grooves, with ropes strung between them. While they support the sturdy cooler, most users experienced discomfort from using the handles. Additionally, they dangle at the same level as the drain plug, which makes it pretty tricky to drain the cooler. The drain plug often spews out water when first opened, and it isn’t uncommon for a pool of liquid to collect at the bottom of the cooler.
Other features include sturdy rubber pull tab latches, internal slots for forming a divider, extending and inset handles, and pin hinges. Most notable is the tray to separate important food items, which isn’t commonly found in large ice coolers like these.
So, when you’re making your decision, expect that, should you go with the Yeti Tundra, it will likely be cumbersome and a little messy. But depending on your needs, the Yeti Tundra might be ideal, especially if you plan to keep a variety of items inside your cooler rather than just a simple homogenous collection of beer cans. Its slots for a divider and tray for separating food may be just what you need.
#3 Best Coolers For Keeping Ice: Cabela’s Polar Cap 40-Quart Equalizer Cooler
Field and Stream conducted their own testing of various coolers and found Cabela’s Polar Cap 40-Quart Equalizer to be the best cooler for keeping ice in its class. Weighing in at 28.8 pounds, the cooler holds 38 quarts, just two less than listed.
It took an entire eight days and twenty hours for beverages to become warm, making this a go-to bet when you’re looking for a cooler mainly for the purpose of keeping drinks cold.
The Polar Cap features user-friendly, molded in handles, making it comfortable and easy to carry for extended periods of time. Field and Stream also found it to be tremendously resilient, with its single-pin hinge and wire lanyard attachment of the drain.
Perhaps the biggest selling point of the Polar Cap is its drain. It’s efficient and connected with a metal wire lanyard. You won’t have to worry much about a watery mess, and it’s easy to use.
Other features include a pressure-release valve, which makes it super easy to open, and rope handles that glow in the dark and can be conveniently snapped to the edges of the coolers. Most fun extra feature? The latches that also function as bottle openers.
The price of the Polar Cap 40-Quart Equalizer is $250, making it a steal of a deal.
#4 Best Coolers For Keeping Ice: Pelican Products ProGear Elite 65 Cooler
When scouring the web to compile a solid list of the best coolers for keeping ice, the Pelican Products ProGear Elite 65 Cooler kept popping up. Users just love its hardcore look and extreme ease of use.
Click for more colors (Amazon link)
The Pelican Products ProGear Elite can keep ice frozen for up to ten days. One user kept his ice frozen for eight days, even after he skipped the pre-cooling step and stored it in a garage with a temperature exceeding ninety-nine degrees Fahrenheit.
Users were unanimous – the Pelican Products ProGear Elite 65 Cooler is super easy to use. They’re particularly fond of the hard plastic latches that are easy to lock into place and can be released by touching a button. Unlike the Yeti Tundra or the ORCA, the lid doesn’t try to snap shut when open.
The Pelican ProGear Elite 65Qt Cooler is hefty, weighing in at 42.8 pounds, but its distinctive handles, made up completely of hard plastic, divide up weight distribution equally and don’t cause discomfort to hands when carrying.
The attached tie-downs, stainless steel hardware, and hard molded plastic give this cooler rock-hard durability. It’s not only huge, but also seemingly indestructible.
A lengthy drain plug leash makes attaching a garden hose an option, but the size of the drain plug makes it a little more susceptible to wear and tear, making it the weakest link in the cooler’s durability. The lid seemed a little lacking, as water frequently splashes out in larger amounts than is normal in other models.
The ice cooler’s locking mechanism means you can lock up your loot, and it also features a ruler within the lid.
#5 Best Coolers For Keeping Ice: The Canyon Outfitter Cooler
Okay, so you may not have heard of the Canyon brand, but just because it isn’t as well-known as some other brands doesn’t mean it isn’t just as worthy of your consideration.
Click for more colors (Amazon link)

The latches, handles, and hinges on this brand of cooler are exceptionally sturdy and not likely to deteriorate under the pressure of frequent use.
And if water sloshing out of the tops of coolers really gets on your nerves, opt for the ENGEL DeepBlue. In the Outdoor Gear Lab’s slosh test, not an ounce of liquid leaked out, which may make it the unicorn of ice coolers.
The ENGEL DeepBlue is user-friendly. The lid remains open, even when the cooler is being jostled about. It’s fairly easy to drain, with minimal water collecting and spraying out messily. Slight metal hooks on the lid fasten to the body’s hard plastic levers to make a neat fastening of the lid shut. The metal hooks also serve as bottle openers.
This cooler is a bit difficult to carry – users find hard plastic handles that are connected by rope to chafe their hands and cause soreness. The handle’s grooves seem to backfire, their odd spacing undermining the goal of comfort and pinching fingers.
Other features include pin style hinges, external latches, extended and recessed handles, and a slot for an internal divider. And let’s bring up that emergency bottle opener one more time because come on, how neat is that?
The price of this cooler is listed at $370, but you can buy it for around $210 on Amazon.
