The Picnic Time ‘Turismo’ made it into this review of best backpack coolers because it has a lot going for it.

It’s got plenty of insulated pockets, costs less than $60 (on average), and has a slick professional vibe.

  • This portable cooler is available in three colors: ‘moka,’ black, and olive.
  • It holds 32 quarts plus.
  • Additionally, the Turismo’s thick polyester makes it relatively sturdy.

A downside is that the Picnic Time ‘Turismo’ isn’t waterproof. However, if you don’t need a waterproof cooler backpack, this might be just the one for you!

Bevpod has carved out a whole new cooler niche.

The Bevpod Slim Cooler is extremely thin, so you won’t have trouble finding a place to store it.

  • This slender backpack holds ten cans, and you can count on an ice retention rate of eight hours.
  • Plus, the Bevpod comes with an ice sheet. It fits the backpack perfectly, which is way better than awkward ice packs.
  • Simply pop the sheet into freezer for easy storage.

At $50 (on average), this is a hard product to pass up. Consider the Bevpod if you often tote around a handful of beers!

#3. Best Backpack Cooler Reviews: The Picnic Time Zuma Insulated Cooler

Since Oniva is a picnic-oriented company, the Picnic Time Zuma has all the best features for a charming picnic.

These insulated coolers feature a mesh pocket designed to hold gear like napkins, plates, and utensils. The second portion keeps food warm or cold.

Not only does the Oniva function well, but it’s gorgeous too. Choose from three colors: black, red, or blue.

Something to keep in mind is that this is ideal for short trips. Since Oniva designed the Zuma for picnics, it only keeps contents warm/cold for a few hours.

But for short stuff like walking through the woods or watching your kid’s football game, the Zuma is the way to go.

The Blackburn Saddle Bag Pannier isn’t a backpack, but it’s so awesome we had to include it. Cyclists, this is for you. B

lackburn Design knew what they were doing – everything about this pannier is superb. It’s robust and easy to use.

  • It’s a cinch to connect the pannier to your bike, due to a simple lock and hook arrangement.
  • A special honeycomb polyester protects the bags from the elements.
  • You can easily organize your stuff in the interior mesh pockets.
  • An integrated beer can opener is the sugar on top. Any product with this feature is automatically badass, in our books.

You’ll only pay about $40 for this stylish cooler backpack. The Diamond Cooler Backpack is perfect for those of you who like to strut your stuff.

  • The Diamond Collection Cooler Backpack is not just a pretty face; it’s high quality and easy to use.
  • The Diamond is constructed from a 600 denier polyester fabric and features adjustable straps.
  • You can expect it to hold about 22 cans.In addition to the main compartment, there are dual side pockets for drinks and a front pocket for storing the little extras.
  • We love how easy it is to store different items in separate compartments.

Our only complaint is that its pear shape makes it tricky to load and unload, if you tend to pack a lot into your backpacks.

#6 Best Backpack Coolers Reviews: Picnic Time ‘Pismo’ Insulated Cooler Backpack, Vibe Collection

Good vibes only, right? The Picnic time ‘Pixmo’ Insulated Cooler Backpack is ideal for tailgating or a picnic in the woods. If you like your gear to have playful vibes, this one’s for you. Its colorful geometric pattern is very unique.

But we also made sure to include this on our list because it’s incredibly easy to use:

  • According to Picnic Time, you can fit 20 cans in this thing.
  • Two big pockets and beverage holders are perfect for storing your perishables and electronics.
  • The right strap has a pocket made especially for your phone.

Tip: Make sure to lean the ‘Pismo’ against a wall or object when you set it down. It has a loose shape, so it needs that extra support.

#7 Best Backpack Coolers Reviews: The IceMule Pro Large Cooler Backpack

Click for more pictures of this affordable, dependable backpack.

If you’re a hardcore adventurer, this is for you. Pre-chill the IceMule Pro, and your perishables will stay cold for 24 hours or more.

You can take day-long adventures in rain or shine. Like to romp around all  day? That’s just fine. The tough exterior fabric is UV and water resistant.

It’s more expensive than others, but it’s one of the best cooler backpacks on the market today. We just have one complaint: there are no built-in pockets.

This is an exceptional backpack cooler and a wise investment.

#8 Best Backpack Coolers Reviews: The OAGear Cooler Sports Pack Backpack Cooler

Click here for more pictures of this bargain cooler backpack.

Take long treks? This one’s for you.

The OAGGear Cooler Sports Pack is an excellent option for a less expensive cooler backpack. The price is so low!

Of course, the quality isn’t in line with something like a Yeti Hopper with a price like that.

But it’s still downright awesome. And many people don’t even need a cooler as overbuilt as the Hopper.

If you choose the OAGGear Cooler Sports Pack, you’ll find it easy to use:

  • Two mesh pockets on either side of the cooler are perfect for drinks, flashlights, and other miscellaneous items.
  • We were able to fit 22 soda cans and a couple of ice packs in the main compartment.

But that’s not all! The zippered pocket on the front of the cooler is a nice touch and comes in handy for small items, like a compass or map. The bungee is one of our favorite features. It always comes in handy when you need an extra storage space.

Our only problem with the OAGear Cooler Sports Pack is its size. It’s a little smaller than others and not suitable for people with large frames.

#9 Best Backpack Coolers Reviews: The Polar Bear Large Nylon Series Backpack Cooler

Just like the IceMule Pro cooler backpack, the Polar Bear Large Nylon Series Back Pack Cooler is strong and suited for wild adventures. It also made it into the “Best Backpack Cooler Reviews: Staff Favorites,”  and has a good reputation on Amazon.

  • This robust cooler backpack holds about 50 beverage cans. The “heavy-duty weatherized” zipper is virtually indestructible. This is one of the features that sets the Polar Bear backpack cooler a cut above the rest.
  • A patented exterior shell makes this particular cooler especially resilient to heavy usage.
  • Ice packs stay nice and cold for 24+ hours. Take overnight camping trips or road trips – you can rely on the stellar ice retention. Another reason why this cooler’s amazing is that you can fold it down to half its size when empty.
