In addition to the Bucket Ball game, we tested the Giant Yard beer pong game. You’ll love playing with the Giant Yard set. We did!

Not only will 4 players enjoy the Giant Yard beer pong, but also 2 players will enjoy one-on-one matches. Although we thoroughly enjoyed the rounds we played, the last few rounds are a little…er…foggy in our memories. Beer, amiright?

The Giant Yard beer pong game comes complete with:

  • Similarly to giant sized solo cups, there are 12 buckets
  • 2 heavy plastic balls that look exactly beer pong balls
  • Super detailed instructed
  • Heavy-duty carrying case with shoulder strap

To sum up this review of the Giant Yard beer pong set, there are two main points: first, the instructions are idiot-proof. Second, the balls are especially well-suited for windy days.

DIY GIANT BEER PONG WITH LIFE SIZE CUPS AND BALLS
Or you can get trash cans that are already red if you want to live large.

Since we recently became interested in DIY projects, we just had to try out DIY beer pong. The DIY Yard beer pong game with life size cups and balls is for the easy going types. In other words, all of you who aren’t phased by trash bins and makeshift beer pong supplies will like this project.

Here’s a quick checklist of what you’ll need:

First, round up 12 regular trash cans and two balls. Next, spray 6 of the trash cans with red paint and the other 6 with blue spray paint. And there you have it: a giant beer pong game with life size cups and balls made the old fashioned way.

Ultimately, the only downside to DIY Yard giant beer pong game with life size cups and balls is that used garbage cans aren’t easy to transport. However, carrying around used garbage cans makes you a fucking awesome person who doesn’t care what other people think.

How To Play Oversized Beer Pong Game with Life Size Cups and Balls
First, a Video Demo

Now that we’ve covered the best stuff to buy to play giant beer pong, we’ll cover in depth instructions of how to play giant beer pong game with life size cups and balls. As it happens, most of them are like regularly sized beer pong. Therefore the drunk folks (okay, all of us are drunks…have you seen our Instagram feed?) have no trouble transferring the rules.

Giant Beer Pong Game with Life Size Cups and Balls: Reracks Rule

Giant Beer Pong Game with OverSized Cups and BallsWe play the giant beer pong with the usual Chuggie Beer Pong House Rules, with the exception of the reracks rule. This is due to the fact that you start with only 6 buckets.

Giant Beer Pong Game with Life Size Cups and Balls: Balls Back Rule

In the event that both players on a team make the same can, they get “balls back.” This is a key point to realize, since both players must make two different cans in a turn in order to receive balls back.

Giant Beer Pong Game with Life Size Cups and Balls Instructions

#1 First, set up 6 heavy plastic buckets in the usual triangle formation.

#2 Next, separate the cans anywhere from 18-30 feet apart. For official giant beer pong tournaments, they must be 30 feet apart.

#3 After that, fill each buck with either water, sand, dirt, or any other kind of heavy material. This prevents the buckets from tipping over when the plastic ball hits the bucket.

#4 Giant beer pong can be played with teams of one or two.

Hang Tight – More Instructions Below!

#5 Each player can do an overhand, underhand, or a bounce shot into the opposing team’s buckets.
#6. When the opposing team scores, the losing team has to chug half of their beer.
#7. Finally, the team that eliminates their opponent’s buckets wins. (Just consult the trusty Chuggie Official Beer Pong House Rules.)

Civil War Beer Pong Drinking Game: Get Ready for Battle!

Players: 6 | Type: Competitive | Drink: Beer | Good Times: ;) ;) ;) ;)

Chuggie’s Official Beer Pong Rules:
How To Play Civil War Beer Pong Drinking Game

How To Play Civil War Beer Pong Game
Civil War? Them’s fightin’ words.

The Civil War Beer Pong Drinking Game is quite similar to regulation beer pong, although the rules are slightly different. It’s a rapid-fire style game, hence the name “Civil War.” After flying through our entire Official Beer Pong House Rules List, we know you’re ready for one more Beer Pong Game. Let’s get to it, shall we?

Civil War Beer Pong Drinking Game Equipment

How To Play Civil War Beer Pong Game
(Click for Discounts/Pictures)

First, it’s always a good idea to lay out the necessary equipment. (Duh, Chuggie.)

Civil War Beer Pong:
Set Up

Another key difference is the number of placers. Whereas Regulation Beer Pong limits players to a maximum of 2 on each side, the Civil War Beer Pong Drinking Game calls for 3 players on each team.

Before launching into that though, we should make it clear that the number of cups on each side of the table can vary from 9 solo cups on each side to 18 solo cups on each side.

      • First, each player arranges their allotted 3-6 cups
      • The cup formations are as follows: either a simple triangle, or a 3-2-1 Pyramid cup formation.
      • In other words, each player will have a triangle shaped rack of cups in front of them consisting of 3 or 6 cups, depending on how many cups the group started out with. (Either 9 or 18.)
      • So, in a 3 vs 3 match, there should be a total of 6 pyramid or triangle racks on each end of the beer pong table.
How to Play Civil War Beer Pong Drinking Game With Rules
High Times Regulation Beer Pong Table with balls & carrying case (Click for discounts)

Here are a few key points:

      • First, the rack of cups in front of each player represents their “lifeline” in the Civil War Beer Pong Drinking Game.
      • Now the general rule of thumb when pouring beer into the cups is one beer per three cups.
      • Like regular beer pong, each team gets one cup of water for rinsing the balls.*
      • Also, just like in traditional beer pong, there are 2 beer pong balls on each side of the table at the start of the game.

The common rule of thumb when playing with a different amount of players is to play the game with at least half as many beer pong balls as there are players playing.

How to Play Civil War Beer Pong Drinking Game

Civil War Beer Pong Drinking Game:
Finally, it’s fightin’ time!

Hang onto your hats ladies and gents – remember Dodge Ball in elementary school gym class? We hope to god you don’t. Whoever invented unleashing wild hooligans to throw softball sized balls at each other was truly a sadist.

However, if you do remember Dodge Ball, you’re prepared to play Civil War Beer Pong Drinking Game like a pro.

Civil War Beer Pong Game

Here’s how it goes down:

      • As soon as the game begins, each side unleashes holy hell in a rapid-fire style, with the end goal of sinking all of their opponents’ cups first.
      • Once each person’s triangle of cups (the “lifeline”) are sunk, they’re eliminated.
      • Finally, the team with the last player(s) remaining wins.

Civil War Beer Pong vs Traditional Beer Pong

Obviously, Civil War Beer Pong Drinking Game is quite similar to beer pong, since you’re trying to sink your opponents’ cups first.

On the other hand, it moves much more quickly because nobody takes turns. Essentially, it’s a chaotic bunch of sugar high 8 year olds fighting over fallen candy from a pinata.

Official Beer Pong House Rules

Civil War Beer Pong Drinking Game: Let All Hell Break Loose

One of the flames fueling the chaos is that the table area is neutral. Unlike regular beer pong, anyone from either side can go after balls left in any number of places: anywhere on top of or below the table, or in the wash cups.

Unless the ball is in a player’s hand, the ball is vulnerable to attack by a pack of bloodthirsty hyenas.

Civil War Beer Pong vs Regular Beer Pong
The Death Cup Rule is In Effect

Now that basic game play is out of the way, here are some key rules involved in the Civil War Beer Pong Drinking Game:

Just like in beer pong, when your opponent hits your cup, you must finish its contents before resuming throwing ping pong balls like the hooligan you are. The drink-before-you-throw rule is always in effect while playing the Civil War Beer Pong Drinking Game.

Another similarity to traditional beer pong is that the Beer Pong Death Cup Rule is in play and it’s as crucial as ever to grab your cup as soon as it’s hit.

It’s important to realize that the Sniper Rule is not in effect, at least not in Chuggie’s official rules.

Civil War Beer Pong Drinking Game With Rules
Balls Back Rule

In the event that your opponents nail you twice before you finish, you can redeem yourself by hitting two cups in their rack if it’s on the same turn. As in, “same turn” meaning they haven’t finished the contents of the cup you previously hit and they’ve put the empty cup on the table.

If this happens, it’s Balls Back time, baby. Your opponents must roll that ball back to you.

Civil War Beer Pong Drinking Game With Rules
Redemption and Sudden Death Overtime

Once all of the cups in your rack have been hit, you’re out and that’s final.

Sorry, Charlie. There is no Redemption or Overtime in Civil War Beer Pong Drinking Game.

In the unlikely event that each team hits the other team’s last cups at the same time, the team that threw the first ball to hit the cup reigns victorious.

(Just like the Elbow Rule, this tie breaker is extremely hard to measure and both sides will think they’re right. Anyone feel like a good old fashioned fight?)

Civil War Beer Pong: Video Demo

Civil War Beer Pong Tips & Strategies

Last of all, we want to dish out a diabolical strategy.

When playing the Civil War Beer Pong Drinking Game, all 3 players can gang up to aim at one opposing team member’s cup. If they’re able to sink two balls into that same cup, the player is eliminated and must chug all the remaining cups on the beer pong table.

Now that we’ve told you our take on the Civil War Beer Pong Drinking Game, what are your thoughts? Do you play with any different variations?

*If you’re that worried about germs or grit in you teeth while playing, put on your big girl panties and get out of your head.

Wizard Staff Drinking Game: Equipment

  • Duct Tape
  • Cans of Beer
  • Hard Liquor (for the “Boss” variation)

How To Play Wizard Staff The Drinking Game With Rules

To play wizard the drinking game you start by drinking a can of beer. Once you’ve finished that can, tape a new can of beer to the one you just finished.

Continually tape cans of beer to the top of your beer can “wizard staff.”

The first wizard that drinks their height in beers is the winner, orWisest Wizard.”

Other Ways How To Play Wizard Staff The Drinking Game

Boss Levels- For this Wizard Staff Drinking Game variation, you’ll need to have a variety of hard liquor bottles on hand.

Best Beer Drinking Games for 2 People
Wearing this Double Header WHILE playing Wizard would be intense!

At the start of the game, each person picks a different liquor type for their name. The easy ones are “Boss Jim” for Jim Beam or Jack Daniels for “Boss Jack.”

Once every 5 beers, you stop and take a shot of liquor of your choice.

You have to fight whoever is the boss of that liquor. (Duke it out with your wizard staffs, of course)

Feeling Wise- Instead of saying they’re drunk, players have to say they’re feeling “wise.” If they accidentally say the word “drunk,” they must chug a beer. But the penalty is that they can’t add this beer to their wizard staff.

White Wizard- The first wizard to have 10 beers on their staff is called the white wizard. When another wizard has 10 beers on their staff, both players have a staff fight. The wizards staff that doesn’t break in the fight is the new white wizard.

Never Have I Ever Wizards– Players play the Never Have I Ever Drinking Game at the same time they’re playing Wizard Staff Drinking Game. Two sets of rules does get intense!

Note: Players are “Wizards in Training” until their staffs are ten cans tall.

How To Play Beersbee The Drinking Game With Rules

  1. To start, you need two teams of two, with bottles on the poles about 20 feet apart. You can either play rock paper scissors or flip a coin to decide which team starts.
  2. The object of the game is to throw the frisbee to knock the opponents beer off of their pole by either hitting the pole or hitting the beer directly.
  3. Both teams throw the frisbee back and forth trying to knock the beer off. If the beer is knocked off, and hits the ground, it counts as a point.
  4. If the beer is knocked off but the players catch it before it hits the ground it doesn’t count as a point.
  5. You can pick whatever score you want to play to, but first team to 7 points works well.
  6. The losing team must shotgun a beer.
How to Play Beersbee the Drinking Game With Rules
This amazing frisbee glows in the dark!

Each team must stand behind their pole when throwing and catching the frisbee.

If any of these things happen you must take a drink:

  • You make a terrible throw and it lands way before the pole. Also, if this happens the opposing players get to throw their frisbee from where that one landed.
  • You miss a very easy catch.
  • You throw a very horrible throw, no matter where it lands!

People call Beersbee by all kinds of different names: Polish Horshoes, Spanish Horseshoes, Frisbeener, or French Darts. They all mean the same game: Beersbee.

Always have a beer- This is a pretty standard rule to play with, everyone must have a beer in their hand when playing.

Throw to pass- When giving the frisbee to your teammate, you can’t hand it over. Instead it must be tossed over to your teammate. Whenever you mess up the toss and drop the frisbee both players on the team must take a drink.

Different scoring- Instead of one point per bottle dropped, you can play to 21 points, must win by 2 and use this scoring metric.

  • One point- Frisbee is dropped by opposing team
  • Two points- The frisbee hits the pole and both the bottle and frisbee do not get caught before they hit the ground.
  • Three points- The bottle is hit directly and both the frisbee and bottle are not caught.

DIY Guide For Making Beersbee Poles

Or, if you have a few tools you can make the poles very easily which will save you some money. We found an amazing step by step DIY guide for making beersbee poles – if you go the DIY route, this is the best guide.

You can really use whatever you want to make poles. If you’re a Canadian take two old hockey sticks, cut the blades off and screw pucks to the top. Almost anything will work to make a beersbee pole just as long as you can hammer it into the ground.

Final Thoughts on Our Frisbee Drinking Game

Whether you’re on a budget, or you’re willing to splurge for a Beersbee set that’s built to last, it doesn’t take much effort to get the equipment you need. Switch up your usual routine with friends and play this at your next barbecue or tailgating party. You’ll love it, we promise.
