These coolers are named after the Grand Canyon…. Do they live up to their name?

Review of Canyon Coolers for Sale: Canyon Cooler Ice Retention

Canyon claims their coolers can hold ice for 5-14 days. It seems believable, thanks to their pressure-injected high-density polyurethane foam. We looked at a lot of Canyon Cooler reviews for trends. Here is a sample of our findings:

  • In another ice chest challenge, the Canyon brand cooler outperformed Esky, Grizzly, Pelican, and Orca coolers. The Canyon Coolers Outfitter 35 held ice for a full 7 days…the rest of the coolers did not.
  • In Field & Stream’s Ice Chest Showdown of 12 top-end coolers, the Canyon Coolers Outfitter 50 ranked in ninth place.

As you can see, there are mixed reviews. Own a Canyon Cooler? Let us know in the comment section how long it can keep ice in your experience.

Review of Canyon Coolers for Sale: Canyon Cooler Durability

It’s hard to damage these roto-molded polyethylene ice boxes. The walls are 2.7” wide, and most lids are 3” thick. This doesn’t just make them good at holding ice, it also means they can handle just about anything.

Canyon Coolers are certified by the Interagency Grizzly Bear Committee. No worries about a hungry bear eating your sustenance!

The Canyon Outfitter 25’s latches fell apart in Field & Stream’s roll test. The rest of the cooler remained intact, which is impressive. They aren’t the absolute best in class, but they’re definitely some of the strongest coolers on the market.

Review of Canyon Coolers for Sale: Canyon Cooler Construction

Hinges- Stainless steel, bullet-proof hinges play a big role in Canyon Coolers’ durability.

Handles- The recessed nylon rope handles dangle nicely above the drain plug. You also have the option of using molded-in handles.

Lid- The lids feature the Canyon logo and are notably thick.

Latches- The cam latch system is a unique and easy to use.

Drain Plug- The drain plug is attached and fitted with an 0-ring. No worries about losing precious icy cold water when you’re miles from civilization!

Feet– The non-skid feet are easy to slide when needed. Most coolers feature these kinds of feet, but it’s nice to make sure of anyway.

Review of Canyon Coolers for Sale: Canyon Cooler Ease of Use

Canyon Coolers are easy to pack and easy to use, which is yet another reason we love them. Their best feature is the recessed handles and latches – you’ll have a smooth time fitting your Canyon in a jam-packed trunk.

Thanks to these recessed features, it’s easy to carry Canyon coolers. You can walk through wooded areas with ease; the recessed handles and latches won’t get caught on branches. The rope handles are handy when you’re bringing  your cooler out to your family’s cabin.

Review of Canyon Coolers for Sale: Canyon Cooler Capacity

Canyon Outfitter Coolers range in capacity from 22 quarts to 125 quarts. The Adventure Series is limited to a 22 quart and a 103 quart.

The Canyon Outfitter 22 is about $139.99 on Amazon, a full $100 less than the Orca and Grizzly 20 Quarts.

A Canyon Outfitter 125 is $120 less than the Yeti Tundra 125.

If you’ve read our Canyon Coolers vs Yeti Coolers post, you know how we feel. Canyon Coolers are better than Yetis! Well, in most cases. You’ll save an average of $100 by going with a Canyon brand cooler.

Review of Coleman Xtreme Coolers for Sale: Coolers That Won’t Break the Bank

Chuggie’s Review of Coleman Xtreme Coolers for Sale

In our blog, we talk a lot about expensive coolers. However, cheaper coolers like the Coleman Xtreme series are perfect for lighter occasions, which is why we’re including a review of Coleman Xtreme coolers for sale in our cooler review series. With capacities ranging from 28-120 quarts, you’ll easily find the size you’re looking for.

Read on to hear more about the Coleman Xtreme coolers. It won’t be boring, we promise!

Review of Coleman Xtreme Coolers for Sale: Coleman Xtreme Ice Retention

In a nutshell, the caliber of Coleman Xtreme ice retention is the same as the Yeti – that’s right, the Yeti. Coleman Xtreme Coolers can hold ice from 3-6 days, on average. In some ice test challenges, Coleman Xtreme coolers hold ice longer than Yeti coolers.

Thick lids and walls keep Coleman Xtreme coolers nice and icy cold.  They don’t have a gasket though, which is what sets them apart from high-end brands of coolers.

They definitely do a better job than Grizzly, Rubbermaid, and Igloo brand coolers. Next time you see Coleman Xtreme coolers for sale, just look how different the prices are between the Yeti coolers.

We can tell you one thing: it isn’t because of how long they can hold ice.

Review of Coleman Xtreme Coolers for Sale: Coleman Xtreme Durability

Coleman Xtreme durability plays a critical role in setting them apart from high-end coolers. The reason they’re cheaper, of course, is because they’re built from less expensive materials. If something’s going to break first on Coleman Xtremes, it’ll be the hinges.

If you’re rough on your equipment, you’ll probably break parts of Coleman Xtreme coolers in no time. Sure, they often hold ice longer than Grizzly coolers. But the reason people still shell out more cash for Grizzly and other high-end brands is their superior durability.

That being said, one mother of six kids has used a Coleman for about 2 decades, and it’s still in good shape. This is because she just needed a rigid cooler to hold ice for things like sitting on the sidelines and watching the kids compete in soccer matches. It wasn’t exposed to anything hardcore.

If your weekend style is house parties, you’ll probably be fine if all you need is an extra cold space for beer.

A word of advice, don’t get a Coleman Xtreme cooler just because it’s cheap. It isn’t worth it if you’re going to be rough with it. You’ll only end up spending more overall, because you’ll end up replacing it at least every 1-2 years.

Review of Coleman Xtreme Coolers for Sale: Coleman Xtreme Construction

Coleman Xtreme construction happens 100% in the USA. It’s as American as reality tv, Disney World, and McDonalds. The construction style goes hand in hand with Coleman Xtreme ease of use.

Lids
Coleman Xtreme cooler lids feature an “EZ-Clean” smooth surface and can hold up to 250lbs. They also have molded-in cup holders.

The lids are one of the reasons Coleman Xtreme coolers ease of use is so good. They’re easy to open, close, and clean, and they double up as cup holders. What more do we need?

One thing to watch out for is leakage, as they don’t have strong seals like you’ll find in high-end ice chests. You’ll be fine if you only intend to carry your cooler about 100 feet or so.

Insulation

The insulation is low CO2 to lessen carbon emissions due to foam manufacturing.

Handles

The Coleman Xtreme 28 Quart has a pull-up handle with a rubbery grip. Larger coolers feature 2-way carry handles, and wheeled models feature large tow-handles.

The plastic handles may be uncomfortable if you carry your cooler longer than roughly 100 ft.

Drains

Coleman Xtreme coolers feature a no-leak channel drain. You won’t have to worry about taking out a drain plug and subsequently losing it. (The Coleman Xtreme 28 Quart doesn’t have a drain.) While collecting information for our review of Coleman Xtreme coolers for sale, we didn’t come across any reviewers complaining about the drains!

Wheels

Coleman Xtreme coolers with wheels are helpful when you want the option for one person to carry a large cooler. The wheels are plastic and set wide apart at one end of the cooler.

As you can see, Coleman Xtreme ease of use goes together with its’ construction. Our favorite characteristic is how easy it is to carry these coolers for short distances. (They’re not meant for long-distance transportation.) If you decide to take a shopping spree and look at Coleman Xtreme coolers for sale, you’ll have plenty of options. The small 28 quart has a simple one-person handle. The larger sizes feature simple 2-way handles for two people to carry them. And if you choose to get a wheeled cooler, one person can comfortably pull a large cooler across flat surfaces.

Review of Coleman Xtreme Coolers for Sale: Coleman Xtreme Ease of Use Overall

Coleman Xtreme ease of use is far better than a high-end cooler made for heavy duty use. You won’t have trouble draining these things, that’s for sure! Their smooth lids make them easy to clean, cutting down on the worst part of partying – the aftermath. You’ll be sipping hair of the dog and be finished in no time.

Cleaning up isn’t fun. But Coleman Xtreme coolers are easy to clean, with their “EZ-Clean” surfaces. You’ll be finished in no time. The lack of external hardware is awesome when you need to cram it in your already-full trunk.

Coleman Xtremes are also much easier to carry. They’re so light, they won’t cramp your style. The rubbery grip on the Coleman Xtreme 28 Quart makes it comfortable for one person to carry. Just watch out for water spilling out if you’re carrying them for a long distance.

Review of Coleman Xtreme Coolers for Sale: Xtreme Marine Cooler Construction

Coleman Xtreme marine coolers construction is like the other Coleman Xtreme coolers, with the addition of:

  • UV protection
  • Stainless steel hardware that is resilient against rust
  • Protection from fungus, mildew, mold, and odor due to an antimicrobial liner
  • Integrated fish ruler (Not the 28 Quart Coastal Marine Series)
  • Cutting board included (Not the 28 Quart)
  • Leak-resistant channel drain (Not the 28 Quart)
  • Dry storage tray (Only the 150 Quart)

There’s a reason the Coleman Xtreme Marine series was #1 in our review of Best Marine Coolers. They have everything you need in a marine cooler.

Review of Coleman Xtreme Coolers for Sale: Coleman Xtreme Parts

Happen to break a part? No problem! Coleman Xtreme parts are replaceable and include:

  • Plastic Hinge Sets
  • Drain Assembly
  • Stainless Steel Hinge Sets
  • Lid Kits including hinge pins

Coleman Xtreme accessories also include a Cold Glow cooler light and 17.5 x 20” seat cushion.

Review of Coleman Xtreme Coolers for Sale: Coleman Xtreme Prices

If you’re the house party type, Coleman Xtreme prices are likely cheaper than the money you spend on booze each month. They range from $39.99 to $149.99.

The 24 Can Party Stacker Cooler costs $19.99 a month and isn’t only for holding cans. It’s great for snacks and can fit 13 x 9” serving dishes. The stacker coolers are designed to stack on top of each other when in storage. Although this isn’t a Coleman Xtreme, our review of Coleman Xtreme coolers for sale wouldn’t be complete without it.

The Coleman Xtreme 120 Quart cooler costs $109.99. For comparison, that is $130 to $140 cheaper than the smallest Yeti, Orca, and Grizzly brand coolers.

Review of Coleman Xtreme Coolers for Sale: Coleman Xtreme Warranty

Coleman Xtreme coolers for sale come with a limited 1-year warranty. Considering how these coolers’ low level of durability, we think it’s too short. This is when you really need to think about how often you’ll use your cooler and how rough the terrain.

Review of Coleman Xtreme Coolers for Sale: Coleman Xtreme Dealers

Lowe’s, Home Depot, Target, DICK’s Sporting Goods, Bed Bath & Beyond, Kmart, Cabela’s, Sam’s Club, Bass Pro Shops, and more stores which offer Coleman Xtreme coolers. Chances are, you have at least one of this in your town/city or won’t have to drive far to find one.

You can also order directly from the Coleman website, though it will probably cost more than other places. As always, we can’t say enough things about ordering through Amazon. It’s one of the cheapest online stores on the web!

Review of Coleman Xtreme Coolers for Sale: So…should you buy one?

Considering the lower quality of construction, durability, and ultra-short length of warranty, the Coleman Xtreme Series isn’t for everyone. These coolers do have decent ice retention, they’re easy to use, and notably less expensive.

If you’re going for a day-long road trip and just want to keep some food and drinks cold in your car, a Coleman Xtreme is all you need. You’re not going to be rough with it – so why pay hundreds more for a high-end cooler?Read about more robust options in our cooler archive if you need a heavy-duty ice chest.

Ultimate Review of Engel Coolers for Sale

Fish More, Work Less: A Complete Review of Engel Coolers for Sale

Chuggie’s Review of Engel Coolers for Sale

On the market for a new cooler, eh? Wonderful! Chuggie’s Review of Engel Coolers for Sale is here to help.

We’ve covered everything you want to know when considering a cooler, from ice retention to warranty and everything in between. If you’re a hunter, fisher, or just love taking adventures outdoors, we think you’ll especially like to have an Engel Cooler.

Chuggie’s Review of Engel Coolers for Sale: Engel Cooler Ice Retention

If you’ve read our Best Coolers for Keeping Ice article, you know our stance on Engel Cooler ice retention. It’s among the best! On average, these reliable coolers’ temperatures stay under forty degrees for 5-7 days.

This guy is our go-to for ice retention in high-end coolers. Among the 9 top-tier coolers, the Engel Cooler outperformed the Igloo, Yeti, and Grizzly brand coolers.

Another reviewer tells us that Engel Coolers hold ice for 8 days! So pre-cool your Engel Cooler like your life depends on it, and see how long this trusty ice chest will hold ice for you.

Chuggie’s Review of Engel Coolers for Sale: Engel Cooler Durability

Engel coolers were the first modern roto-molded coolers to appear in the U.S. market.

One of the main reasons we did a review of Engel Coolers for sale was to see how these old-timers compared with the newer models.

We were impressed with what we found. Engel Coolers have exceptionally sturdy latches, handles, and hinges. Outdoor Gear Lab performed a durability test on several popular coolers. The Engel Deep Blue was on same level as the Orca and Pelican brands.

Let one roll around in your trunk a time or two. Let two grizzly bears play catch with it. It’ll be just fine.

Chuggie’s Review of Engel Coolers for Sale: Engel Cooler Construction

Engel Cooler construction is the secret behind these sturdy coolers’ durability because.

Small metal hooks on the lid fasten to the Engel Coolers’ hard plastic levers. These hooks also serve as bottle openers. No more spending 10 minutes getting the bottle cap off because you forgot the opener!

Engel Coolers also have pin style hinges, external latches, extended and recessed handles, and a slot for an internal divider.

Chuggie’s Review of Engel Coolers for Sale: Engel Cooler Ease of Use

Engel Coolers’ durability, construction, and ice retention are commendable. We usually take a look at how comfortable they are to use after studying those top 3 factors. These are your weekends we’re talking about! They’ve got to be easy-breezy. Here’s what we found:

-Their lids stay sealed. Sure, every brand of cooler says their lid is great, but this time it’s true. It actually stays open, unlike the lids on other high end coolers. (We’re looking at both of you, Orca Coolers and Yeti Coolers!)

-They’re easy to drain and won’t leave a sizable puddle of water.

-Small metal hooks fasten the plastic handles levers for a clean-cut look. Not only do they look great, they’re easy to use.

-Fishermen! Certain models have built-in rod holders.

-Some reviewers didn’t like the grooved plastic handles. Since it can’t be a one-size fits all, they can be uncomfortable to carry.

Other than the grooved handles, Engel Coolers are comfortable and should fit seamlessly with your outdoor recreation time.

Chuggie’s Review of Engel Coolers for Sale: Engel Cooler Accessories & Colors

Fishers and hunters, we can’t say it enough –  these coolers are perfect for you. Engel Cooler colors include Camo, Haze Grey, White, and Tan.

In addition to their built-in bottle openers and fishing rod holders, Engel Cooler accessories have everything you need for your tranquil fishing weekends. They have the usual stuff, like replacement parts, food baskets, and ice packs.

You can get a camo, white, or “No Shoes Nation” seat cushion for any size of Engel DeepBlue Cooler. Your cooler can double up as a comfy seat while you fish or wait in your deer blind. These marine-grade vinyl cushions have 2 inches of padding and snap into place with snap-on screws.

Their bate trays and cutting boards are stackable with an interlocking temperature conductor between each tray. They’re also salt water resistant.

If you want to go all out, you can get a handy tie-down kit, compartment divider, and wireless fridge thermometer/clock package.

Chuggie’s Review of Engel Coolers for Sale: Engel Cooler Prices & Warranty

Engel Cooler Prices range from $239.99 to $979.99, falling closely in line with the Orca, Pelican, Yeti, and Pelican brands. You can check out Amazon for discount Engel Coolers – they almost always have cheaper deals.

Unfortunately, an Engel Cooler warranty isn’t great. It’s only good for three years, which is two years less than the Yeti. It looks extra short next to the lifetime warranties of other coolers.

Chuggie’s Review of Engel Coolers for Sale: Where are Engel Coolers Made?

Some of their smaller parts are created in the USA and Philippines, but they’re mainly manufactured in Thailand.

Chuggie’s Review of Engle Coolers for Sale: Engel Cooler Dealers

Big box stores like Home Depot, Walmart, and Sam’s Club carry Engel Coolers. You can either buy directly from the store or from their website.

Engel also offers a dealer locator. When you check it out, you’ll see that Engel Cooler Dealers are located all around the world. (Though mostly in the U.S.)

Chuggie’s Review of Engel Coolers for Sale: And the verdict is…

Despite a few quirks, an Engel Cooler is an excellent choice. It’ll be a reliable, quality cooler for all of your weekend adventures. Engel Coolers aren’t for everyone. If you’re turned off by the short warranty or tiny color selection, don’t worry. We have many more reviews of coolers for sale to help you find the perfect coolers.

Practically all the reviews of Engel Coolers for sale that we read had excellent things to say about them. They really don’t have any weak spots, except for their short warranty. Luckily, they offer cheap replacement parts.

Hunters and fishers, we know this is the best fit for you! Engel created their coolers for you. In no time at all you’ll be sitting by the lake on a comfy cushion, with a refreshing beer in hand.

Cheers!

Engel Coolers vs Yeti Coolers Featured

Engel Coolers vs Yeti Coolers, a Worthy Pair of Competitors

Engel Coolers vs Yeti Coolers

It’s time to compare Engel Coolers vs Yeti Coolers, fellow beer enthusiasts!

At Chuggie, we often write about Yeti like coolers. Because we love spending weekends camping, throwing parties on the beach, hunting, and fishing. This includes all the equipment that makes that amazing time possible.

As much flack as we give them, we have much respect for Yeti Coolers.  However, it’s always possible to find a Yeti like cooler but cheaper. Why not see how the other brands compare to the Yeti?

Engel Coolers vs Yeti Coolers: Overview

Engel Coolers are an excellent option that many people swear by. Still, some Yeti fans have extreme loyalty to their Yeti Coolers.

We’ve compared Engel vs Yeti in terms of ice retention, durability, ease of use, color options, price, and special features. Our side-by-side comparison is designed to help you decide which one to go with!

Engel Coolers vs Yeti Coolers: Ice Retention

These impenetrable ice chests are more than ready to keep your stuff cold!

Yeti and Engel both claim that their coolers can hold ice for 5-7 days. But as you know, this number can’t always be trusted. It’s best to trust people who’ve actually used the coolers.

One experiment designed to observe the ice retention of the Engel and Yeti Coolers for five days found that the Engel Deep Blue Series 50 Quart outperformed the Yeti Tundra 45.

Another user conducted a second experiment comparing the Engel 50 Quart Cooler to the Yeti Tundra 45. This user also used the five day time period, and by the fifth day, the Engel had much more ice than the Yeti.

We wish this proved an easy answer like “Engel Coolers always win ice challenges.”

But another reviewer at the Cooler Box website found that the Yeti held more ice than the Engel. This was a longer test, though, as it lasted for double the amount of time as the previous tests. The results showed that the Engel retained ice for eight days, while the Yeti retained ice for ten days.

The coolers’ ice retention seems to vary from user to user. This could be for a variety of reasons, like if it was pre-cooled or left open for longer periods of time.

Engel Coolers vs Yeti Coolers: Ease of Use

Engel Coolers feature latches that close more easily than Yeti’s ginormous latches. Another advantage is that their lids stay open even when they’re being gently bumped. Yeti Coolers’ lids sometimes slam shut unexpectedly. If you have young children, the Engels probably sound most appealing to you right now!

When transporting coolers, water usually flows down from the top of the cooler. The Engel is different in this aspect, allowing you to stay dry while setting up camp. In the Outdoor Gear Lab’s slosh test, not even a little bit of water found its way outside of the cooler. This is almost unheard of in large coolers.

Draining ice coolers can be a buzzkill. It usually means your beer is gone, which is a double bummer. But it always helps to have a cooler that drains easily! Engel Coolers are easier to drain than Yeti Coolers. They drain faster and don’t leave behind liquid, like you might find in a Yeti Cooler even after draining it.

Both have handles made from plastic with rope strung through them, but the grooves on Engel Coolers’ handles are designed to be easier on the hands. However, some users report discomfort from the grooves and find the smooth handles on Yeti Coolers to be more comfortable. This is just another one of those Engel vs Yeti situations in which there are just about equal opinions.

Engel Coolers vs Yeti Coolers: Durability

Both Engel and Yeti rigid coolers are certified bear proof and roto-molded for reliable protection from the elements and heavy usage. Like Yeti Coolers, Engel Coolers are made up of durable latches, handles, and hinges.

A lot of users find that Yeti Coolers last longer than Engel Coolers. The better quality of Yeti Coolers is backed up by their five year warranty, as compared to the three year warranty of Engel Coolers.

Engel Coolers vs Yeti Coolers: Special Features

Engel Coolers come with some awesome features, like bottle openers built into the handles. Another great thing about Engel Coolers is that certain models feature four built-in rod holders. This feature alone might be enough to entice fishers!

One of our favorite Engel Coolers is the Engel BoomBox because it comes equipped with built-in speakers, and these speakers don’t affect the quality of the cooler in any way. The Engel Boombox can hold 30 quarts and shares the excellent characteristics as other Engel Coolers. So if you are a music fanatic, this may be just the cooler for you.

Some add-ons available for Engel Coolers are padded seat cushions, brackets for mounting, and divider trays. You have to pay extra for these though, so take that into account when considering the overall price.

Yeti Coolers share many of the features with Engel Coolers, such as beverage holders, fishing rod holders, and padded seat cushions available at a higher price. Cutting board dividers are also included in most Yetis. One thing Yeti Coolers have that Engel Coolers lack is a built-in ruler.

Engel Coolers vs Yeti Coolers: Color Options

Yeti Coolers look extra spiffy with their glossy plastic finish that really showcases the color of the cooler’s exterior. Engel Coolers don’t have such a nice finish. The classy exterior earns the Yeti points in the competition with Engel.

Color might seem like an insignificant quality of a cooler, but variety is the spice of life! Especially when you just want to unwind on your days off from work.

Unfortunately, neither coolers offer a wide array of colors. You can choose from White, Ice Blue, or Desert Tan for your Yeti Cooler. Engel Coolers are available in Camo, Haze Grey, White, and Tan.

Engel Coolers vs Yeti Coolers: It’s a Tie, Folks

Shared Benefits of Engels & Yetis:

  • Excellent ice retention.
  • Built-in features for fishermen.
  • Durable and built to last for a long time.
  • Crafted from high quality material.
  • Handy tools built into the cooler itself.

In our opinion, these coolers are tied. We can’t tell you that we think one choice is better than the other. It’s all about your personal needs.

If a lower price is a priority for you or you’re smitten with the idea of a cooler-turned-boom-box, Engel is the obvious choice.

The Yeti is the best choice if you want something that looks classy (hey, if you’re splurging already, treat yourself!). Additionally, if you want the cooler most likely to last for a lifetime, go with the Yeti. Just trust us on this one.

These are arguably the two best coolers on the market today. Reread this article, trust your instinct, and rest assured that either cooler will serve you well.

Happy Trails!

Best Fishing Coolers for the Money

Introduction to Fishing Coolers

We’ve talked to a lot of you about finding the best fishing coolers for the money you’re shelling out. You love fishing. And chilled beer or pop is definitely part of the experience. Whether you’re spending a couple hours or an entire day fishing, we’re sure you take along a cooler for drinks and snacks. You also want to make sure you’re keeping the fish you catch at an optimal temperature.

Rather than using any old cooler, we suggest you take a look at the best fishing coolers available. Fishing coolers are designed specifically for fishing, which makes them way better for fishing than other types of coolers.

An excellent characteristic of fishing is that it doesn’t cost much money. Sure, you need gear and supplies, but if you buy quality stuff, it will last you a long time. We’ve searched high and low to find the best, most cost effective fishing coolers out there. There are lots of differing opinions, but we’re confident we’ve chosen the best possible fishing coolers for you. When considering our options, we focused on evaluating important features like excellent insulation, rust resistance, special extras, durability, and value that matches cost.

Our Two Favourite Fishing Coolers

#1 Best Fishing Coolers For The Money: Coleman Xtreme Series Marine Coolers

Coleman is a tried and true brand that many fishermen, hikers, and campers have enjoyed for years. But you can’t just take other’s words for it, you’ve got to consider the features and decide for yourself.

If you look at the Coleman 120 Quart Coastal Xtreme Series Marine Cooler , you’ll see it has all the aspects of a reliable fishing cooler, with the capability of holding 120 cans. It has UV protection, so you can sit out in your boat on a beautiful day and not have to worry about the sun wearing down on your cooler. It’s also tough against rust, as it’s constructed from stainless steel.

We all want to invest in something that is not only sturdy and strong against the elements, but easy to use. With a channel drain, it’s virtually stress-free to drain. Handles are designed with special grips to avoid pinching while carrying. One of our favorite perks is that the surface of the cooler is specially made for easy cleaning. Coleman calls it the “EZ-Clean top.”

The Coleman 120 is made to withstand up to 250 pounds, so it doubles as a seat. It also comes with built-in cup holders. Talk about multifunctional!

We recommend using this cooler for shorter trips, as its insulation is made to last a little bit less than more hardcore fishing coolers.

Check out other Coleman coolers for different sizes and types of coolers. You’ll be impressed with the neat features and reasonable prices.

The Coleman 120 costs roughly $59. This is tremendously cheaper than brands like Yeti and Icey-Tek, but it will reliably keep your stuff at the desired temperature.

Another unique perk is its stain and odor resistant lining. The large sizes available and easy-to-clean inside makes this an attractive cooler for families with lots of kids, or messy college students. The smaller sizes are perfect for a solo fishing trip or just a couple of friends.

This cooler features a wire cable that connects the lid to the body, which is helpful for keeping the lid in place when boating. If you have issues with the cooler, you have a one year warranty for all Igloo containers, so you can rest assured you have the insurance you need.

There’s a reason three out of four households use Igloo coolers. Igloo has been around since 1947, earning it’s trusty reputation for years.

The Igloo Marine Ultra Cooler costs roughly $39.99.

#3 Best Fishing Coolers For The Money: Rubbermaid Marine Cooler

The Igloo and Coleman coolers are excellent choices that are both economical and good value. However, for the more adventurous users – those of you who like long, more rugged trips – we recommend spending a little bit more money on a fishing cooler that can withstand all of your ventures.

It’s designed to be resilient against odors and stains, so you don’t have to worry about a cooler that permanently smells like fish.

A threaded drain plug facilitates easy draining. Built in cup holders can accommodate cans and twenty ounce bottles, and two adults can use it as a bench.

At $159.06, you’ll get a durable cooler that will last you for a long time, without paying through the nose for a similar cooler in a more expensive brand.
